CID Interior Decorator Certification & Membership
The New York Institute of Art and Design is now an approved school by Certified Interior Decorators International (C.I.D.). That means that graduates of the New York Institute of Art and Design's Complete Course in Interior Design qualify for C.I.D. membership and an internationally recognized interior decorator certification.
C.I.D. International is a professional association acknowledged for raising the bar and setting the standard in the decorating industry. Certified interior decorators are set apart as educated and proven professionals with earned credentials. The professional designation of C.I.D.'s interior decorator certification relieves the trade sources and decorator showrooms nationwide of the need to carefully examine individuals claiming to be decorators, thus alleviating a major problem that showrooms face on a daily basis.
NYIAD's Interior Design Course is one of only a few schools that are approved by Certified Interior Decorators International. Graduates of the program may apply to take the C.I.D. International preparation course and entrance exam after completing their course work at the New York Institute of Art and Design.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer this certification track to our interior design students," said Janet Ramin, interior design student advisor for NYIAD. "It is yet another credential for those graduates who want to build a thriving interior design business."
