    Course author, Garrett Morrison, approaches landscape design with a broad range of experiences. Firstly, he operates his own landscape design and installation business. He has also done extensive hard scape installation work utilizing various materials. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture Business and Production. His specialties include plant production strategies, plant pest management, greenhouse system development, maintenance, and mushroom production.

    Kelly Cobb is the owner of 2h flowers, an NYC East Village based home floral studio. Kelly has worked with many amazing clients and friends as a professional floral designer. She has showcased her florist skills in Bergdorf Goodman, J Brand, Gant Rugger, Conde Nast, Pamela Love, KiDs Creative, SHoP architects, Pink Olive, Alice Gao, VICINUS Project, Shoptiques, Garance Doré, New York Times, Paper Magazine, and Good Morning America Live.

    Doug Oldiges

    Doug has been passionately engaged in the areas of gardening, horticulture and design since childhood. He has travelled extensively on his pilgrimage to visit as many of the world's most famous landscapes as possible. When he's not working the soil, Doug is a competitive runner and triathlete.

About Our Mentor Program

At NYIAD, you’ll have access to a professional designer who will act as your teacher and mentor.

You will benefit from a personal relationship just like you would get in the classroom. Our mentors are there to answer your questions via phone or email at every turn.

In addition, you will submit projects throughout the course which will be evaluated by your teacher. They are there to help you improve as you master the craft.
