Spring 2017 Style

If you’re like us, you’re already keeping your eyes and ears open when it comes to 2017 spring and summer style trends. We’ve already browsed Pinterest and combed some of our favorite fashion blogs to get a general idea of what we can expect in the coming months. As personal stylists, it’s important to be ahead of the curve when it comes to changes in fad and to start mentally considering the ways in which you can incorporate said looks into your clients’ wardrobes. This year, here are some things you should start looking out for:

  1. Stripes- We’re seeing tons of striped looks in early catalog spreads for spring 2017. And we’re not talking subtle- these are big and bold like beach umbrellas.
  2. Khaki- This is a super versatile material and one we’re extremely excited to see come back into style. If you’re helping a client shop for a few key pieces for the spring, one khaki jacket can be transformed into countless outfits with the swapping of a patterned scarf, a bright pair of pants or some new accessories.
  3. Yellow- This is sure to be the hot color of 2017. Try helping clients accessorize with a bold statement necklace or lemon-colored clutch.
  4. White Shirtdress- Continuing along the trend of repurposing menswear for women’s style, the oversized white shirtdress is a super simple piece to add to any client’s wardrobe. It can be dressed up for a night out with a pair of strappy heels and some metallic accessories, or worn on the weekend with sneakers and sunglasses.
