Haley Mindes
Haley Mindes studied for her BFA at Hartford Art School. After graduating, she traveled to Florence, Italy, where she discovered her passion for creating jewelry. Her graphic design background and jewelry-making passion produced a successful photo charm business. She sells nationally to small boutiques.

Alicia Goodwin
Alicia Goodwin
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Alicia has designed jewelry for most of her life. She now runs her own jewelry line, Lingua Nigra, and teaches hands-on classes across New York City.

Dori Eisenhauer
Dori Eisenhauer
Dori Eisenhauer is a New York City–based jewelry designer. Dori studied design at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, WA. Soon after, she moved to New York City. She continued jewelry design studies at the 92nd Street Y. She also worked under Donna Distefano. Donna is the former resident goldsmith at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Serena Van Rensselaer
Serena Van Rensselaer grew up in New Jersey and studied Art History and Cultural Anthropology. Eventually, she revisited her childhood passion for jewelry design in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It was there that she took her first metal class and fell in love with the creative process. Serena has worked, studied, and traveled to Europe and the Caribbean to hone her skills as a metal smith.
About Our Mentor Program
At NYIAD, you’ll have access to a professional designer who will act as your teacher and mentor.
You will benefit from a personal relationship just like you would get in the classroom. Our mentors are there to answer your questions via phone or email at every turn.
In addition, you will submit projects throughout the course which will be evaluated by your teacher. They are there to help you improve as you master the craft.
