Kitchen remodel- a modest $10,000 budget. In this remodel, I tore down the existing cedar ceiling and replaced it with a modern tray ceiling, added perimeter recessed lighting, and task lighting. Because the existing cabinets were high-end and in terrific shape, I modified a few base cabinets and had a custom fridge encasement built with pantry tower. Granite counter tops, taupe travertine backspash and stainless steel appliances complete this look. The kitchen has a warm rustic feel with modern touches, overall, very happy with the results.
